DESIGN CRUSH: NATE BERKUS

My crush on Nate Berkus harks back to the days when Oprah Winfrey used to dominate day-time television and first introduced the gorgeous, kind and very talented interior designer and TV-presenter to the world. Many women swooned, myself included. Bad news for us, Nate is openly gay. We just loved him even more. We wept with him when he survived the tsunami of 2004 while vacationing in Sri Lanka, but his partner Fernando did not. We rejoiced when he found love again, and all along, we delighted in the stunning interiors he created for Oprah’s loyal viewers. I always loved how he was able to transform a mediocre interior into something of great beauty. His skill with tiny spaces was off the charts. I still wish he would just magically appear on my doorstep and announce that he was there to change my life. Any excuse to give him a massive bear hug!!
