It cannot have escaped your attention that I’m a sucker for color, particularly in the home. So, it should come as no surprise that I am all over this apartment that I came across while perusing the German edition of Architectural Digest. Designed by the genius that is Lorenzo Castillo (infinitely more on this insanely talented interior designer and antiques dealer in a later post!), it is perfect in its bold execution and whimsical take on design. It’s hard to believe this apartment is in Madrid, because the feel is decidedly American, but from what I gathered with my rusty German, that was kind of the point. The result is rather un-Castillo like, but attests to the flexibility of this great designer. My apologies for the slight histrionics, but I’m just very excited by Castillo’s oeuvre. Again, I promise a more extensive overview of his work later this week. For now, enjoy! To read the article, click here.
