Last October I dedicated a post to my dear friend Emilie Kroner, who was making headway with her fabulous white ceramics animal collection by Piselli Projects. The collection consists of all-white table decoration such as tureens, napkin holders and carafes in the form of wild life. My personal favorite are the oversized hippo and rhino oil and vinegar dispensers! The other day, Emilie called up with the most exciting piece of news. Her collection had been picked by none other than Jamie Creel (of Creel & Gow fame – see another post of ours on the subject here) to adorn one the tables at The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Gala of 2014. This benefit is sponsored by Veranda Magazine and featured tablescapes by top designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Alessandra Branca and Nina Campbell. For Emilie to be included in this illustrious company was a massive honor and quite a coup! I’m so proud of her!
Of course I wanted to know how all this came about. It turns out that Jamie Creel’s friend, Architectural Digest’s International Style Editor Carlos Mota, had come across some of her pieces and had recommended them to him. After lunching together, Creel placed an order for some of her pieces. And as they say, the rest is history!
Here are some other pretty nifty tables to admire. Very inspirational! Doesn’t it make you want to throw a dinner party?
